Understanding learning styles

Understanding multiple intelligences

Developing thinking skills

Developing memory strategies

Each school will receive two Brain Boxes for use in the classroom one for Foundation and Key Stage 1 and one for Key Stage 2, together worth £200.  Each box is packed full of a week’s worth of activities for children (including lively PowerPoint presentations) that have been successfully used in over 600 primary schools in the UK. In addition, the materials include presentations for a parent session and staff twilight to be run by staff in their own school.

Delegates will use some of the Brain Box materials, look at the benefits of concept mapping and explore how to create a community of enquiry where children are encouraged to ask questions, be creative and think about thinking in an emotionally safe environment.
