The 3T Team

Modou Jobe heads 3T’s operations in The Gambia. He knows the country and people well and is strongly committed to the development of it’s schools.

Tom Wilson a graduate, TEFL trained and with good experience in Africa, Tom is responsible for identifying Gambian schools for UK schools to twin with and establishing strong communication links between schools.

Melanie Hawes a graduate, TEFL trained and with good experience in Africa, Melanie is responsible for supporting Gambian schools in their twinning activities.

Cheryl Barteczko is head of Lounde Infants School, Sheffield and advises 3T on twinning activities in UK Primary Schools. Her school is successfully twinned with Jabang Lower School.

Trevor Hawes heads Optimal Learning and oversees the operation of 3T. A frequent visitor to The Gambia, Trevor is passionate about the benefits of twinning to UK and Gambian schools.

Debbie Belsher is Optimal Learning’s leading trainer. With substantial experience as a UK based primary teacher Debbie is responsible for developing educational materials for use in UK classrooms.
